There are many options available for writers nowadays, for both ebook and print book formatting. If you want you can do the formatting yourself, or you can hire others to do it for you. I’ve listed both options below.
Here are some free tools to use for ebook formatting:

- Amazon KDP have Kindle Create which is a Kindle only formatting tool

1.I started using Scrivener for formatting when I first started writing books. If you have Scrivener give it a try, it works!
2.In the past year, I have switched and now use Vellum to format both ebook and print books.
Vellum is made for Mac computers only, however I have an indie author friend who created a tutorial on how to use Mac in a Cloud to format with Vellum using your PC computer.
I absolutely love using Vellum to format my books… it’s easy to use and the books turn out beautifully!

Mark Coker’s recommended list for Smashwords formatting. Many of these will also format for Kindle and ePub as well as for Smashwords.
BookBaby formatting. BookBaby offer different packages for authors at reasonable prices. If you aren’t comfortable with technology, this might be a good choice to consider.
DIY Options…
Draft2Digital has a formatting tool. Open an account with Draft2Digital(for free) and use their formatting tool that which convert Word or Text documents into an ebook.
Reedsy has a formatting tool. Write and export a professionally typeset book.
Amazon KDP have Kindle Create which is a Kindle only formatting tool. Transform your manuscript into a Kindle ebook.
