8 Reasons to Write Your Book Now

Why do you need to write your book?

That’s a great question. When you narrow that down even further, you get to the million dollar question which is: what’s your big why?

Why do you want to write your book? Is it an important nonfiction book for those you serve in your business? Do you have burning passion to write fiction and tell stories that inspire and entertain readers? Do you want to tell your memoir to inspire your children and other family and friends?

Asking and answering the question: why am I passionate to write my book, is critical to your success as a writer 🙂

Knowing your Big Why will motivate you to:

1) get up at 5am to write, if that’s all the extra time you have available.

2)read books to research your topic, even when you’d rather be doing something else.

3)say no to friends so you can use the time to write, so you can create your dream of extra income for yourself and your family.

Your why will drive every single decision of where your money goes, where you put your time, what sacrifices you make and every choice you make from here on out.

Here are 8 reasons to write your book now that might help give you clarity:

1.You have a story that needs to be told.

Even if you have heard or read a similar story to your own, you still need to write yours. Why? You are unique. You offer a different perspective, which has been formed by your experiences and the way you see the world. You’re the only one who can tell your story in your way. Only you can write that book, to share your story with the rest of the world.

2.You need a fresh start to book writing, that got lost somewhere along the way.

Maybe you’ve dreamed of writing a book since childhood, but you never got your chance. Life – in all it’s u-turns and ups and downs – got in the way and you never had your chance. Your dream might have died down to only embers barely flickering, but it’s still there… barely. Don’t give up. You can do this. You can write your book now and reignite that dream for writing stories!

3.You want to leave a legacy.

Life is short for each one of us. All we have are these few short years to leave an impact. However, there is a way to leave a little bit of your story behind for your loved ones and others. When you write a book, you leave your mark on the world. People will be touched and transformed by your story and you don’t know how your words will help give them the courage to take the next step in their lives.

4.You want to make extra money (part-time or full-time) for yourself and your family.

Since we all need to make money, why not earn a part-time or full-time income doing what you love? Write and sell your books. Isn’t that the dream? Now with self-publishing, it’s easier than ever to write your fiction or nonfiction book and get it out into the world. The awesome thing about writing books, is that you can sell those books the rest of your life and 70 years after you die so your children can still benefit. All great reasons to write your book now.

5.You will tackle a new challenge.

Writing a book forces you to leave your comfort zone. Trying something that is new and unfamiliar can be scary. But that’s also the reason it is exciting. The only way you grow as a person is to leave your comfort zone and try new things.

Push your own self-imposed limits and write your book. You’ll be glad you did.

6.You will discover who you really are.

Seriously. Writing forces you to really think about yourself and the world around you. By writing your book you will gain clarity on who you really are and your calling. You’ll begin to understand new perspective about what really matters to you. Writing a book is a powerful way to really understand your thoughts, values and passions.

7.You are a writer.

Each one of us has a story to share. In order to be a writer, you just need to write. To become an author, you need to publish your book. You can do this… and you’ll be so glad you did.

8.You don’t want to look back in regret that you didn’t write your book when you had a chance.

How long have you wanted to write a book? If you’re like me, maybe you’ve wanted to write a book since childhood. It’s time to stop putting it off. The list of excuses that you could come up with are probably endless, but they’re also weak. One of the biggest reasons you need to write your book now, is because you’re finally run out of excuses and you don’t want to look back at your life in regret that you didn’t when you had the chance.

It really is your turn to write your book now…

Write a book because it’s time people read your story. Write a book because this is your chance to finally realize your dream. Write a book simply because your story matters.

No more waiting. No more worrying. No more procrastinating. It’s time to go from struggling writer to published author. Your story is waiting.
